Would you like to produce criteria to the Criterion Bank yourself?
The Criterion Bank also publishes sustainability criteria for procurement that are produced by parties other than Motiva or the KEINO Competence Centre for Sustainable and Innovative Public Procurement.
The requirement is that the criteria have been developed in interaction between clients and suppliers. The criteria to be published must be market incentive, non-discriminatory, verifiable, comparable and related to the subject of procurement. Usually, there are two different levels of criteria available, the basic level and the leadership level, but sometimes there is only one level of criteria available. If there is no previous experience of the use of the criterion in Finland, if necessary, the criterion can be published as a criterion proposal.
When producing criteria for a completely new product category, it is advisable to also produce a brief information package on the key sustainability impacts of the procurement category in question.
Contact Motiva well in advance
If you are planning to produce criteria and publish them in the Criterion Bank, please contact Motiva as early as possible to ensure that there is no duplicate criteria development ongoing at the same time. You will also receive further instructions for the work.
Information concerning criteria is entered on an Excel data model template, from where the criteria are transferred to the Criterion Bank. You therefore do not need separate update IDs for yourself to access the service. Motiva will provide instructions for completing the Excel form, and we are happy to discuss the format of the criteria.
If you are planning to develop criteria and publish them in the Criterion Bank and you are hoping that Motiva will develop the criteria for a certain procurement category, please contact:
